“Hope” is the thing with feathers
Even in the darkest of times it is the sliver of hope that pushes us to hang on and keep moving on.
Believe it or not, hope is an integral part of each of our lives. Even in the darkest of times it is the sliver of hope that pushes us to hang on and keep moving on. Hope is every person’s go to place in both positive and negative times which essentially ties the past and present to the future.
As Dr. Judith Rich writes, “Hope is a match in a dark tunnel, a moment of light, just enough to reveal the path ahead and ultimately the way out.”

We’ve all had our encounters with hope, so without writing much I’d like you to enjoy this poem by Emily Dickinson that talks about how hope is a free bird and that it continues to exist even in the most dire of times.
“Hope” is the thing with feathers -That perches in the soul -And sings the tune without the words -And never stops - at all -And sweetest - in the Gale - is heard -And sore must be the storm -That could abash the little BirdThat kept so many warm -I’ve heard it in the chillest land -And on the strangest Sea -Yet - never - in Extremity,It asked a crumb - of me.
I hope you liked this piece. I’d love to hear more about what has been your encounter with hope?
